You have probably heard how social media can grow your business, you may have even boosted a few posts on Facebook but your still not seeing the results from it, does this sound familiar?
Facebook™ is currently the most powerful ad platform in the world, providing that you are taking full advantage of it. If you haven't done so already you need to get your Facebook Pixel added to your website asap. The Facebook Pixel will track every visitor to your site silently in the background. With this data you can then re-target your ads to people who have shown interest in your products already, however it is even more powerful than just that, you can actually create a specific ad group and show it just to people who have visited a certain section of your website. ie. If you want to promote a special on a specific service you offer you can create an ad that is only shown to people who have visited that service page on your website.
Many of the larger agencies, are not taking advantage of this feature within Facebook, If your agency isn't targeting your ads using Facebook Pixel you are spending money that you don't need to be.
I am going to give you the exact formula that we use to generate more leads for our customers on Facebook so that you can do it yourself, of course if you don't have time to do this or just want someone who can do it for you then we are happy to take care of everything for you end to end. Step 1. - Know your target audience.
You need to firstly understand who your ideal customer is, what they are interested in, their age, sex, income, location, brands that they like and follow.
Step 2. - Build 3x Ad Groups as follows.
- Top of Funnel - These ads will be broadly targeted to your target audience based on interests and other demographics. These ads are designed simply to get people to click through to your website for information.
- Middle of Funnel - This is where you start to get a bit more specific with your marketing, you should use the Facebook Pixel to target people who have visited your site recently and offer more information on your products or services, think of this group of ads as the trust building layer.
- Bottom of Funnel - Here comes the plug, this is the group of ads that targets just visitors of xyz product/service and offers promotional deals for that exact product or service.
Step 3. - Get creative.
This is by far the most important step, once you have your structure all setup you need to get creative with your ads to see what works and what doesn't, 1 hot tip is that Video will favoured by Facebook and will get more views than anything else, we recommend that your Top of Funnel ads have video at a minimum, Images are fine for the Middle and Bottom as your target audience is much smaller based on your website visitors from the Facebook Pixel.
